About

Scottsdale Hydrotherapy was opened by owner Marina Ortega, who came to it after a 23-year corporate career and wanted to share her experience with colon hydrotherapy. The business describes itself as a premiere colon hydrotherapy and gut wellness center, and says it was named Best of the Valley in 2024, 2025 and 2026.

Colon hydrotherapy here uses filtered water, warmed and sometimes cooled, introduced into the colon, with pulsating techniques and abdominal massage. The center uses the Angel of Water System and states that no chemicals or drugs are used. The site describes that system as FDA-approved, while its own disclaimer says its statements have not been evaluated by the Food and Drug Administration. A First Timer Session is a 75-minute introductory colonic for new clients. The site recommends an initial series of 3 to 6 sessions spaced one to two weeks apart, followed by maintenance sessions every one to two months or quarterly.

Beyond colon hydrotherapy, the center offers HOCATT, a 30-minute session in a ceramic pod where the client breathes pure oxygen while steam and infrared heat fill the chamber, and Dermashape, a 45 to 50-minute lymphatic treatment combining vacuum suction and therapeutic heat. Massage options include Signature, Restorative, Sports, Prenatal Bliss and Therapeutic Massage, and a range of $15 enhancements can be added to a massage. Combination packages bundle colon, HOCATT and Dermashape sessions into multi-visit plans.

The center also sells Trust Your Gut tea, developed with herbalist Margo Burdek of Herbal Goddess Healing, and offers supplements and nutrition guidance. Services are described as intended for general wellness and as complementary to conventional medical care rather than a replacement for it. The site advises speaking with a qualified healthcare provider before starting any new routine, especially when pregnant, nursing, under 18 or following a doctor-prescribed protocol.

Pairs colon hydrotherapy with clean eating, with staff explaining each step before a session. Services are positioned as complementary to medical care and for general wellness, not to diagnose, treat or prevent disease.

The private treatment rooms are described as peaceful.
