A visit starts with a free consultation and a digital mock-up, so clients can see the planned result before committing. Pricing is set on the Norwood scale, which rates balding from 1 to 7.
A typical treatment runs three sessions about one week apart, each lasting two to three hours, with at least seven days between sessions (artists may require more). Redness typically fades within 24 to 48 hours, and a regular routine can resume after 72 hours. The clinic will not work on overly dry or inflamed skin and may suggest a moisturizing protocol or a referral to a dermatologist.
Training is offered one-on-one and hands-on in Glendale, covering anatomy, needle theory, color theory, machine basics, application, contraindications and consultation. A travel program brings the SMP course to students anywhere in the continental United States. Hands-on work with a model requires passing a sanitation exam through SNHD.
Treatment is planned around the Norwood stage and the area to be covered, with a free consultation and digital mock-up before any work begins.
