Sania's Brow Bar NYC

Sania's Brow Bar opened in 2005 in a second-story storefront on 56th Street. It moved to a larger space in Chelsea in 2011, and a second location in Scarsdale opened in February 2021. The business is family-operated and female-owned. The salon describes itself as NYC's original brow bar and as female-run.

The founder's daughters and niece also work at the salon, and Sania trained them. Brow shaping is done with tweezers only, and the salon does not offer waxing, threading or microblading. Staff work toward a fuller brow that still looks natural.

Visits are by appointment only at both locations. The NYC studio is open Tuesday to Friday from 11:30am to 6:30pm and Saturday from 11:30am to 4pm in winter (October to May), and Monday to Friday from 11:30am to 6:30pm in summer (June to September). If no online time is open, clients can call the studio directly. Cancellations and changes need at least 24 hours' notice; later cancellations, missed appointments and no-shows are charged the full service amount. Clients who are unwell with a fever, flu, strep throat or a cough are asked to stay home, and pets are not allowed in the studio because several staff have severe dog allergies.

The salon sells its own products online, including a brow pencil whose formula, shades and tip were developed over about six months, along with branded tweezers and scissors. The studio also runs Brows & Bubbles party bookings at the FlatIron studio for bridal, bachelorette, birthday, sweet sixteen and corporate groups.
