About

Sandpoint Electrolysis moved to its current location on the OneLife Community Church property. It shares the space with Maristella Spa Services, LLC, which is a separate business with its own scheduling. The practice is served by Seattle Metro bus route 65, with the closest stop at the Spirit Gas Station.

The practice offers the A.R. Hinkel Blend Method, with or without the Air Desensitizer, plus Thermology and galvanic electrolysis. Henri St. Pierre and Arthur Hinkel devised the Blend method in 1945, combining galvanic and high frequency current. Earlier, in 1916, Professor Paul Kree of New York built an early multiple galvanic machine.

Scheduling is by appointment only, and clients can call, text or email; the business says texting gets the fastest reply. Every visit begins with a complimentary consultation, a 15-minute slot to explain the process and answer questions, and a treatment is not booked automatically. Treatments are priced by length, from $47.00 for 15 minutes to $90.00 for 60 minutes. Payment is due at the end of each appointment, and cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. The practice also accepts doctor referrals, including difficult cases that need hair removal before surgery.

According to the business, electrolysis is the one form of hair removal it considers truly permanent, and the only permanent treatment the FDA recognizes. Electrologists follow AEA infection control standards, which are based on recommendations from the CDC, OSHA and APIC.
