Salt and Sound opened on February 1, 2020, and is owned and operated by Wade and Donna Winsor. The business later moved into a larger, expanded space on Cottonwood Lane. It describes itself as a calm place to slow down and as a community gathering space.
The stated mission is to help people breathe more easily, feel more at ease, and tune in to the body's natural capacity for restoration. The HaloIR Sauna combines micronized salt particles dispersed into the air with infrared heat, aromatherapy, chromotherapy and sound therapy in one session. The Himalayan Salt Bed is a lower-temperature option that includes halotherapy, red light, chromotherapy, aromatherapy and sound. The business claims the salt bed offers up to 90% of the benefits of the HaloIR Sauna.
Other offerings include Photopuncture Meridian Therapy, which applies focused red and near-infrared light to specific meridian points; BioEnergetix WellNes, a non-invasive approach to finding and correcting energy imbalances; an ionic foot detox bath; mild hyperbaric oxygen sessions at 1.3 ATA that use ambient air with an oxygen concentrator rather than a pressurized tank; and Himalayan singing bowl sessions. The MB6 massage chair gives a full-body massage and is often used as a closing step after other therapy.
A first visit can start with the introductory offer at $65, which includes a 45-minute core session of your choice followed by a 30-minute MB6 massage and a complimentary tea tray. Monthly memberships of 4, 8 or 12 sessions cost $189, $360 and $480. Session packs of 6 or 12 cost $278 and $494, with sessions to be used within three months of purchase. Hours are Tuesday through Friday 10:00 am to 6:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm; the center is closed Sunday and Monday. According to its privacy policy, the business does not sell or share personal data with third parties for marketing.
Founded on the idea that wellness depends on balance across physical, emotional and energetic health, with a focus on natural healing therapies.
A peaceful, restorative space that also aims to serve as a community gathering place.
