Salon68 is in a strip mall on 68th Street in Caledonia, next to Railtown Brewery. Rather than one team under one price list, it houses independent hairstylists, each working as an independent contractor. Clients pick a stylist and book through that stylist's own link or text number. The salon describes the feel as fun, relaxed and drama free, and presents itself as a place for a personalized salon experience.

Licensed professional hairstylists can rent a chair here for $55 a day, with a discount for rentals of three or more days. The salon provides stylists with back bar supplies such as shampoo and conditioner, capes and towels, a waxing station, an on-site washer and dryer, and a fully stocked breakroom with refreshments and snacks. The salon does not allow soliciting.

Each stylist runs an independent business inside a shared space, setting their own services, prices and hours, and clients book with them directly.
