Salon Vanity

The salon is on the third floor at 1701 Walnut Street, with its entrance on 17th Street between Walnut and Moravian Streets. Discounted rates are available at three nearby garages and lots: the SP+/Hyatt Centric Garage, the Parkway Liberty Place Garage and the InterPark Parking Lot. Hours run Monday 9 AM to 6 PM, Tuesday and Wednesday 9 AM to 6:30 PM, Thursday 9 AM to 7 PM, Friday 9 AM to 6 PM and Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM.

Haircuts include razor cutting, wet and dry cutting, long layers and pixies. Color is done with the L'Oreal and Redken professional color lines. Treatments are offered to address shine, smoothness, moisture, strength, density and softness. Retexturizing can take hair straight, smooth, curly or wavy using a leading brand.

Extensions are offered in three systems. Great Lengths uses individual strands fused into the hair with a keratin bond, and its App service is a quicker application that adds thickness and length. Dream Catchers uses 100% European Remy hair attached with coated micro cylinder beads and needs maintenance every 4 to 6 weeks; it can be worn for up to 6 months. Halo Couture is an instant extension applied with a concealed wire, suited to daily wear or special occasions. Great Lengths and Dream Catchers are priced after a consultation, and Halo Couture starts at $325, varying with hair length, thickness and the stylist's experience.

Weddings can be handled either with the whole wedding party visiting the salon or with staff travelling to the client. According to the salon, it is the preferred wedding party team at several local hotels and event spaces, among them the Four Seasons, the Palomar Hotel, the Sofitel Hotel and the Union League. Wedding trials take place at the salon starting at $125, and couples are encouraged to reserve 6 to 8 months ahead.

Appointments can be booked by phone at (215) 925-2211 or through the online request form, and a valid credit card is required to reserve. Clients more than 15 minutes late may be rescheduled and charged a cancellation fee. Keratin and Japanese hair treatments and extensions require a deposit and 4 business days' notice to cancel, and extension changes must be made 5 business days ahead or the deposit is forfeited. Major credit cards are accepted, gratuity is cash only, and there is an ATM on the premises. All product sales are final, and gift cards are valid for one year from purchase, usable in person only and non-refundable.
