Salon Suites of Smithville

Salon Suites of Smithville is a leased-suite building rather than a salon with a shared floor. Each suite holder works from a private room they rent by the year, which means each professional sets up their own space, schedule and client list inside one building. The owner, Ashley Jones, also operates her own hair business, Hair by Aj, from a suite here.

Suites are private and sound-insulated, with an oversized framed glass door, custom cabinetry and custom lighting. Each one has its own sink in the cabinet, a utility cabinet, and an individual ventilation unit. Shampoo bowls with a washer hookup can be installed in suites. Floors are vinyl, which resists staining. The building describes itself as clean, secure and private, with 24/7 camera security and video surveillance and 24/7 access for suite holders.

Utilities are included in the lease. Shared amenities include a breakroom, a color bar, a central vacuum system with an automatic floor vent, a constant hot water system, free use of a washer and dryer, free Wi-Fi and ample parking. A part-time receptionist works at the front desk. Suite holders may decorate their own suites.
