SALON ROSS

Salon Ross opened in May 2004 at 17614 W. 113th Terrace in Olathe. Its owner, Ross Woolf, works as a stylist in the salon alongside Arielle Eveland.

The salon's decor leans on warm, rich colors and textures, and an aquarium sits in the space. A drink station offers coffee, tea, soda, and fresh lemons and limes. The salon's stated goal is to make clients feel good about how they look, and it describes itself as a beauty oasis where people can step away from a busy pace.

Prices differ by stylist and are listed on the salon's own site. Ross lists a women's cut and style at $45, a men's cut and style at $30, a cut, style and treatment at $60, and The Works at $75. Arielle lists $35, $25, $55 and $65 for the same services. Color only is $67 with Ross and starts at $60 with Arielle; color and cut is $88 with Ross and starts at $80 with Arielle. Hair Spa is $35, scalp massage is $20 and eyebrow shaping is $13 with both stylists, and children 12 and under are $12. Color correction is quoted after the stylist assesses the hair's condition.
