Salon Regato was opened by Rachel Gallagher, a Master Stylist who spent nearly three decades performing hair and spa services in metro Detroit before starting her own salon. She has also trained apprentices. The current team lists Rachel Gallagher and Brittani Shank as Master Stylists, with Abi Shivery as a Junior Stylist.

Color is the largest part of the menu. Services include glosses, toners, root retouches, single and full foil highlights, balayage (including a lived-in balayage and an ombre balayage) and color correction. Most highlight services include a gloss to reach the desired tone. Color prices assume a standard amount of product and can rise with hair length and density. Color correction starts with a consultation and a $50 nonrefundable deposit, and balayage and ombre balayage bookings require a $50 deposit.

Outside of color, the salon offers women's and men's haircuts, barber and clipper cuts, beard trims, blowouts, curls and iron styling, and special event styling including upstyles and bridal hair at $125. A keratin smoothing treatment starting at $450 is intended to reduce frizz and add shine, and a consultation is recommended before booking it. Hair treatments such as Botanical Repair, Nutriplenish Hydration, Scalp Balancing and Hair Detoxifying are offered, but they do not include a blowout. Waxing covers the face, lip, chin, brows and neck.

Booking is handled online through Glossgenius, and cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice to avoid a fee. Children under 12 are asked to wait until they are older to visit, and children and guests are not permitted on the service floor. Gift cards come in amounts of $50, $75, $100 and $200, or a custom amount, and gift card sales are final.
