The salon operates from a historic yellow house on West Main Street in Lexington, and it draws clients from Lexington, Columbia, West Columbia, Gilbert, Irmo, Swansea, Gaston, Chapin, Camden and more. The salon says it wants every guest to feel listened to, to take part in the creative decisions, and to feel at ease.

Hair services cover haircuts and styles, men's cuts, women's and men's color, and a signature color menu that includes balayage, foilayage, babylights, color melt, root smudge, shadow root and specialty color. Specialty hair services include L'Anza Deep Intensive Treatments, the Brazilian Blowout smoothing system, Deva Cuts and Treatments, perms and special occasion styling. Hair extension options are tape-ins, hand-tied wefts, the Transformation Connection method and halo extensions, and the salon lists its extension services as certified by Perfectress.

The esthetics side includes waxing for the underarms, legs, chin, and lip and full face, along with brow waxing, brow lamination and tint, lash tints and lash lifts. Facials range from a customized 60-minute facial that is matched to skin type, texture and concerns, to microdermabrasion using a diamond-tipped wand, an acne-focused facial centered on blackheads and clogged pores, a back facial, and a 90-minute anti-aging facial that combines microdermabrasion, oxygen infusion, micro-current and LED light with a custom facial. Peels include Jessner and 10% and 15% TCA peels, each available as a 30-minute treatment or as a 75-minute service with a customized facial, and an Obagi Blue peel facial. Clients are asked to stop retinoid, tretinoin and prescription topical products seven days before peels and some facials. The Esthetician Room offers more advanced treatments and personalized skincare.

Gift certificates can be bought on the salon website, and The Boutique at Salon on Main sells clothing and jewelry. The salon charges for missed appointments when a client does not cancel. Hours are Tuesday 9am to 6pm, Wednesday and Thursday 9am to 7pm, Friday 9am to 5pm and Saturday 9am to 3pm, with the salon closed on Sundays and Mondays. The salon is also hiring stylists.
