Salon Mathilde was founded by Kristin Miller and Kimmi Peacock, two hair artists who have been friends for about twenty years. The studio is small and boutique-style in Oak Lawn, and the owners say its mission is to help each client feel their best.

Haircolor is a core part of the menu, from gloss or toner and single process color to foil highlighting and hair painting or balayage. Haircuts include styling, and the studio also offers a separate Curly Cut for natural texture and upstyle or specialty styling for occasions.

Haircolor prices are estimates, and the colorist confirms the final cost at consultation. A post-color blow dry is not included in haircolor pricing, and a post-color style out can be booked separately. Cancellations need at least 24 hours' notice. Later cancellations are charged half the service price, and repeated late cancellations or no-shows may require a 50% deposit on a credit card.

Clients can park on Rawlins Street, Welborn or Oak Lawn, or use the visitor spaces at the side and back of the building. One space beside the building is reserved for the salon.

The studio aims to craft hair that reflects each client's individuality and brings out their natural beauty.
