Salon K was opened in Chandler by its owner, Kelley, after she completed her cosmetology education. The salon focuses on hair color, extensions, toppers and hair restoration, with haircuts and facial waxing alongside.

Color services include allover color, color retouches, partial and full highlights with toner, and color correction billed by the hour. Blowouts and cuts can be added to many color services. Extension work covers reinstalling extensions by row, new installs with a cut and styling, and custom color extensions. Event hair includes updos, bride, bridesmaid and flower girl styles. Facial services include eyebrow waxing, chin and lip waxing, and an eyelash lift with tint. The salon also offers a Brazilian Blowout, and children's, men's and women's haircuts (women's from $75, men's from $60, ages 12 and under from $35).

Visits are by appointment only, Monday through Friday. A first in-salon appointment starts with a 15-minute consultation to shape the plan for service. Consultation requests get a reply within 24 business hours. New guests are usually seen within four to six weeks of their request, and those with limited availability may wait up to 12 weeks. Color prices depend on hair length, density, technique and how much product is used, and prices and services can change. Cancellations need 24 hours' notice; a cancellation with less notice or a no-show carries a $50 fee, and no new appointment can be booked until that fee is paid. A returned check carries a $50 charge.

Payment is by MasterCard or Visa, and the salon offers Cherry buy now, pay later plans. Cherry options include 0% APR for eligible clients and interest-bearing plans with APRs as low as 5.99%, according to the salon's payment plans page. The page also says Cherry requires no hard credit checks. Gift certificates are available by phone or in person.

The salon says its goal is a positive experience for every visit and that clients should leave with the knowledge and products to recreate the salon look at home. It also says it uses the very best products available.
