Founder Denise Johnson set out to bring a Beverly Hills feel for style, ambiance and service to the San Fernando Valley without the high prices usually associated with that kind of experience.

The salon has a custom-designed interior built around dark natural wood and soft fluorescent lighting, a neutral setting chosen so that color can be judged as it will look once a client is outside. The environment is green-minded throughout. Styling stations were designed in Italy to give stylists and clients room to move, shampoo basins adjust to support the neck, back and legs, and the custom dryer bench is built to be comfortable for women of any age, height and size.

Hair services include shampoo and blow dry, haircuts and styling for men, women and children, partial and full-head highlights, haircolor, color correction and extensions by complimentary consultation, perms, relaxers, keratin treatment, and special occasion and bridal hair. The salon does not offer nail services, which helps limit odor and chemical use. Guests are served espresso and other hot drinks from a Necta Brio machine, in glass cups and ceramic mugs rather than disposables. The salon also lists waxing and threading among its services.

Stylists receive continuing education and specialized training from professional consultants from Kérastase, and the salon's product choices were made to suit its environmentally conscious approach.
