Both locations keep the same hours: Monday through Thursday 9 AM to 9 PM, Friday 9 AM to 6 PM, Saturday 8 AM to 4 PM, and closed on Sundays. The business says it employs more than 100 people across both sites and serves over 5,000 guests a month.

The stated mission is an upscale-style beauty visit delivered by highly trained staff in a caring, comfortable setting. Each haircut and style begins with a consultation covering face shape, hair type and the look the client wants. Haircut and Style, which includes a shampoo and blow dry, starts at $45 and rises by stylist level up to $80. Special Style starts at $61 and bridal styling at $71, with more complex styles priced higher.

Training is part of the business. New Designers, started in October 2007, gives recent beauty school graduates weekly training. Barbers at SDC was created in 2018 to offer men's cuts, hot towel shaves and beard trims, taking both walk-ins and appointments, and by early 2019 it had three barbers and one stylist.

Pricing follows a multi-level system, so staff advance through the levels based on education, skill and client demand.
