Salon CŪ opened on Valentine's Day 2006 on Broadway in Somerville. It is run by its owners, Carlo and Ranjana, who also work as stylists.

Cutting ranges from children's cuts and clipper cuts to long hair. Corrective, creative and double-process color are priced after a consultation, and color prices do not include a haircut or blow-dry.

Keratin treatments come in two forms: a keratin blow-dry that lasts about four weeks, and a full keratin treatment that lasts about four months. Styling covers blow-dries, up-dos and formal styling. Bridal work begins with a required consultation, followed by bridal up-do or formal styling.

Appointments are booked online, and approved bookings receive a confirmation text. Changes and cancellations need 24 hours' notice; later cancellations are charged half of the reserved services, and no-shows are charged the full amount. Appointments more than 10 minutes late may be rescheduled, and late arrivals cannot take time from the next client. Payment is accepted by cash, check, Visa and Mastercard. A valid credit card is required to book, and gratuity cannot be added to a card.
