Stylists move up through a level system based on how much demand there is for their time, not on how many years they have worked. Training begins when a stylist joins the associate program and continues through their career, which the salon describes as aggressive, consistent, innovative and in-depth. The associate program is optional and uses a self-paced curriculum alongside hands-in-hair work with the education team and weekly in-person classes; it can be finished in as few as four months to become a full-time Level 1 stylist. Associates may begin classes and hands-in-hair work before passing the State Board Test, but taking guests on opportunity shifts requires a license. Stylists are commission-based employees, and the salon says its culture is built on kindness, support, work-life balance and developing staff.

Each visit begins with a full consultation about the guest's routine, how much time they have and what they want from their hair, and the stylist talks through a beauty budget. Stylists then suggest products and tools that fit the guest's goals, show how to use them, and recommend a maintenance schedule. Services are priced a la carte, each one separately, and prices vary by stylist and by stylist level. The salon says its pricing and services are customized to each guest. Chemical and texturizing prices listed are for services with a Level 1 stylist.

New guests choose their services and a stylist, then call, text or connect digitally to book. Reservations need 48 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule, and a 10-minute grace period applies after the start time. New guests pay a 50% non-refundable deposit for their first color or chemical reservation, and that deposit moves with them if they reschedule with at least 48 hours' notice. Children come along only if they are also getting a haircut. Guests may return within 7 days to the same stylist for adjustments.
