Salon Birch was founded in 2019 by Courtney Tadema and Keelee Cody. Keelee is no longer working behind the chair but remains part of the salon team. Courtney owns the salon today and does color work herself.

The team works across cutting and color, with specialties in barbering, special occasion hair, organic color and advanced curly hair.

Services are grouped into Haircutting, Hair Coloring, and Additional & Treatment. Curly haircuts are done on dry hair, so clients should arrive with hair dry, down and in its natural state with minimal product. Stylists wash, style and dry the curls after the cut. For children with curly hair, the salon suggests booking a Curly Kids Haircut. Children's haircut prices can be adjusted for hair length and thickness.

Color appointments are priced by hair length, density and condition. Fashion Color requires a consultation first, where pricing is discussed. Color Correction estimates come from a free consultation with a stylist. A 15-minute consultation at no charge is available to help choose services and book an appointment. Bookings can be made online through the Book With Us link on the salon's website.
