Salon Benardo is a small, locally owned Aveda salon in downtown Fullerton. It occupies a craftsman bungalow built in 1905, a historic home that Irma bought in 2004 and that is now the salon. The salon has served its community for more than 30 years.

Inside, antique furniture and chandeliers set the tone, and the salon aims to feel like a home. The goal is a calm, pampering visit that offers a break from everyday stress. Only Aveda products are used, and the salon says it takes pride in its natural products.

Services cover cuts for women, men, teens and children 12 and under, along with bang and neck trims. Color ranges from toners and glossers and touch-ups to quarter, half and full highlights, full color, and ombre or balayage. Perms, styling and updos are offered, as well as a Botanical Therapy REPAIR treatment, keratin treatment and make-up application. Prices vary with length, texture and density, so a consultation is suggested for a firm quote. Bridal updos are arranged through a consultation.

Children are welcome by appointment only. Cancellations should be made at least 24 hours ahead; later cancellations incur a $25 fee, and a 50% charge applies to no-shows. Clients who repeatedly miss appointments or cancel may be asked for a credit card before a booking is held. Parking is available at the front of the building and in the rear lot. The salon is open Tuesday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., and is closed on Sundays and Mondays. Appointments can be booked online through Fresha, or by phone or email.
