Salon Atlas opened in 2021 and is owned by Corene, a master stylist who founded it. The salon says it was voted a Fort Worth Favorite by the Fort Worth Star Telegram and that it made the Fort Worth Favorites list of 2023.

About

Cutting and styling covers cuts from about $45 to $115, starting with a shampoo, scalp massage, precision cut and blow-dry. Blowouts and Signature Blowouts run from $30 to $65, and the Signature Blowout includes iron work on request. Special Style updos and styled-down looks range from $90 to $115 and suit events such as weddings, proms and galas, with pins, bands and accessories added.

Color and lightening includes a full solid color from roots to ends for gray coverage, blending or a change in natural shade, priced from $100 to $150, with retouches available between full applications. Signature Highlight ($75 to $160), Partial Highlight ($110 to $220) and Full Highlight ($165 to $330) are offered as foil highlights or balayage. Global Lightening, also called a bleach-out, runs from $125 to $445 and does not include a haircut or blowout; existing clients book a Global Lightening Retouch. Vivid Color is a custom creative service priced after consultation, and most vivid shades need pre-lightening, which may mean a Global Lightening first. Corrective Color requires a consultation and may take several sessions.

Extensions include Hidden Weft extensions, which use the Atlas Extensions hidden bead method for added length, volume or color, and Keratin TIP (K-Tip) extensions, applied strand by strand with keratin bonds. Both are priced after consultation. With proper care, K-Tip extensions typically last three to five months before removal. The salon also offers hair model submissions through an online form that asks for a current photo of the hair.

Stylists at the salon undergo at least one year of training, a 52-week program with the master stylists that includes practical experience with models. Some master stylists are educators affiliated with L'Oreal Professional and Toni and Guy, and the salon states that some of its educators have worked events such as New York Fashion Week. Atlas Extensions certification is offered in two classes, an installation course and a Move-Up class six to eight weeks later, at $595 for an individual artist or $3,950 for a private salon team. Hours are Sunday 10 AM to 5 PM, Monday 11 AM to 4 PM, Tuesday to Thursday 10 AM to 5 PM, Friday 10 AM to 4 PM and Saturday 10 AM to 3 PM.
