Salon Anovin is open Monday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, Tuesday through Friday from 9:00am to 8:00pm, and Saturday from 9:00am to 5:00pm, and it is closed on Sundays. A 2018 press release also refers to the business as Salon Anovin Nail Spa and Beauty Bar. The space has been renovated and is also available for hosting parties and for makeup and hairstyling classes.

About

Kate Volarath is the salon's owner. The business opened nine years before a 2018 press release, which reported that it had joined the L'ANZA Healing Center network that same year and described it as the only member in the Chicago suburbs. According to the salon's press page, voters named it the best nail salon and ranked it among the top hair salons in Kane County in 2018 and 2019. The salon says its goals are to teach clients and to champion healthy hair.

For hair, color runs from The Prep & Tone at $30 to $55 up to The Full at $120 to $220. The Works, priced from $150 to $275 and taking about 75 minutes, covers full balayage, full foilayage, ombre and fashion colors. Long or thick hair carries an additional charge for color. Haircuts are $50 to $90 for short or medium length and $60 to $100 for long length with a blowout. Keratin treatment is $300 and takes 150 minutes, and an Express Keratin Blowout is $135. Re-texturizing includes a men's top perm, a permanent wave for short hair and a spiral perm for long hair.

Hair extensions begin with a consultation appointment, booked by phone or email, so pricing can be set accurately before the extension appointment. Head spa services include the Japanese head spa, the newest service at the salon, which draws on Japanese scalp care traditions. Packages range from a 60-minute Refresh treatment at $135 to a 90-minute Restorative treatment at $185, and the Zenagen Regrow Treatment at $199 uses plant-based products aimed at hair thinning. Head spa guests are offered a spa gown and fresh juice, water or tea at the end of a session, and a consent form is emailed the day before the appointment and must be completed before arrival. A monthly head spa membership is also available.

Nail services, lash extensions, lifts and tints, brow lamination, microblading and waxing or threading for the face, body and bikini areas round out the menu. Bridal packages need a 50% deposit to hold a date, and deposits are refundable only if canceled within 15 days. Cancelling at least 24 hours ahead avoids a fee, while a cancellation within 24 hours is charged half the appointment price, and no-shows or cancellations within 12 hours are charged the full price of scheduled services. Products are non-refundable, and tips cannot be added to credit card charges.

The salon aims to educate clients and advocates for healthy hair, with a head spa menu that draws on Japanese scalp care traditions.
