Salon Ambition is a private hair studio run by a single artist, who books one client at a time. The studio is upstairs inside Sola Salons on Old Beulah Street in Alexandria, with public parking directly outside the building.

Color is central to the menu: custom color, glosses, single-process root retouches, full-head color, and corrective color for uneven, unwanted or brassy results. Blonding ranges from traditional foil highlights to non-traditional styles such as balayage, foilayage, teasylights, baby lights and ombré. Haircuts cover men's cuts and women's cuts sorted by length, plus quick bang trims between appointments.

New clients complete a form before booking, and the artist aims to reach out within 48 hours to set up a time. A consultation is required for new guests; it is listed at no charge and runs 30 minutes. Corrective color is booked by the hour with a $100 deposit, and special occasion styles carry a $50 deposit.

Treatments include Olaplex for dry or damaged hair, a metal detox that removes mineral buildup before color, and a professional-only deep purifying chelating treatment. Gift cards can be bought online in any amount starting at $25.
