Salon Alma is an independent hair salon operating from the owner's in-home studio in Lino Lakes. Owner Missy Rodriguez opened it after roughly 30 years in the beauty industry, when she and her family chose to build a studio at home.

Color is the core of the salon. Each client's color is designed around their style, and Missy also cuts hair for the clients she colors. Services include brow tinting, perms, break base color, tint retouches, bleach, all-over tints, balayage and foils. A free 15-minute consultation is offered for those who want to talk through options first.

The salon aims for a relaxed setting. New clients join a waitlist and are contacted when a cancellation opens, while current clients without availability can join the waitlist or call the salon. Payment is accepted by cash, check, Apple Pay and Square. A blow dry after color is included only if time allows, or it can be booked as a guaranteed blow dry for a fee. Products can be purchased through an online store, and gift cards are sold on the website.

Each color is designed custom to the client's style, in a calm, relaxed environment.
