Salon 29:11 works as a studio focused on curly hair. It aims to teach clients how to care for and style their curls, and to help them feel at ease with their natural texture. The salon describes itself as a safe place for curls.

New guests usually start with the Curl Discovery Session, which runs about 3 to 3.5 hours and costs $350. It covers a consultation, product education, a hair detox, restorative treatments as needed (Olaplex, protein or moisture), and a hydration and style lesson, with an optional custom curl cut. A first visit generally takes 2 to 4 hours including drying time, depending on hair density and length. New guests can also book a custom curl cut with hydrate and style, about 2 hours for $300.

Existing guests choose from custom curl cuts, hydrate and style curl sets, and a dry maintenance curl cut. Maintenance cuts are typically needed every 3 to 4 months. Clients are asked to arrive with dry, detoxed, fully detangled hair styled with curl-friendly products, and free of braids, twist outs, clips, combs, headbands, elastics and pins. Butters, oils, Cantu and Shea Moisture products should be avoided before the appointment. After the hydration step, clients dry under a hooded dryer. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available during services.

Appointments are booked only through the online booking system; the salon does not take bookings by phone, text or email. The schedule opens one month at a time, on the 1st of the month for the following month, and a waitlist is available when preferred dates are full. A non-refundable booking fee of 50% of the service cost is charged to the card on file and applied to the service. Cancellations need 72 hours' notice, and clients may reschedule once through the booking system at least 72 hours ahead. Late arrivals of 15 minutes or more incur a $50 fee, and arriving 30 minutes late counts as a no-show. Prices are subject to change, and extra fees apply for excessive detangling and for detangling, length and density on some services. Refunds are not given; clients who are unhappy should contact the salon within 72 hours.
