Salon 1800 has been part of the Lincoln Park community for over thirty years. It moved to 1962 North Clybourn from a nearby former address, and the newer space is described as refined and designed for comfort.

Hair services cover cuts, color, styling, treatments and extensions. The salon says it does not offer a one-size-fits-all approach and tailors each service to the client. Every color service starts with a personalized consultation, and color pricing follows Salon Scale, varying by service, product, hair density and length.

Color work runs from toners and glosses through single process and highlights to balayage. The salon describes its color as non-damaging and says it uses what it considers the safest, most advanced formulas. Extension services are customized to each client, and a complimentary consultation can be arranged by phone. Special event styling includes bridal trials, day-of bridal styling, and styling for bridesmaids, attendees and flower girls.

Waxing covers body, facial, and brows and lashes. Hair appointments are booked by phone or text, while waxing appointments are booked only through the Salon1800 app. A credit card is required to reserve, cancellations made 24 hours ahead carry no fee, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged a percentage of the scheduled services.

Services are tailored to each client rather than standardized, and every color service begins with a personalized consultation.
