Salon 01 was opened in 1996 by Micki Stirsman. The salon describes itself as a fashion-focused lifestyle salon built on timeless technique, and it is a member of Intercoiffure America Canada, which it describes as an invitation-only group of established salons. Guests can book any stylist, esthetician or technician, since the salon works as a client-sharing space. It draws clients from Carmel and surrounding areas including Fishers, Noblesville, Westfield, Indianapolis and Zionsville.

About

The salon is open Monday from noon to 8pm, Tuesday through Thursday from 9am to 8pm, Friday from 9am to 6pm and Saturday from 8am to 2pm, and is closed on Sundays. Inside there is a shampoo lounge and a boutique selling clothing, accessories, jewelry and a selection of brands.

The spa side is a certified partner of Eminence Organics and offers custom facials, Glo2Facial and HydraFacial treatments, dermaplaning, massage, brow and lash work and waxing. Classic facials run 30 or 60 minutes and custom facials run 60 or 90 minutes. Swedish and deep tissue massages are offered in 45-minute sessions. Platinum Club members, who hold 12-pack packages, receive a discount on retail during spa visits and a smaller discount at any time.

Bridal services cover hair and makeup for the bride and her party, trial appointments, a private bridal suite and on-location styling for parties of six or fewer within five miles of the salon. On-location bookings must be paid in full 30 days before the wedding and are not eligible for discounts.

Hair extensions include EasiHair Pro tape-ins, Halo Couture pieces and Lucky Locks Sparkles. EasiHair Pro services are provided by Andrea, who is described as a certified extension specialist. EasiHair Pro and Halo Couture purchases begin with a consultation and a haircut.
