Sage Skincare Studio works from a private suite inside Salons by JC in Shrewsbury Plaza, next to HomeGoods. The studio describes itself as a New Jersey destination for relaxation and presents its space as a calm room set up for self-care.

Visits run from 30 to 80 minutes depending on the service. The facial menu ranges from a short 25-minute hands-on LED session with cleansing and light extractions to hour-long treatments. The Hydrating Facial is the studio's base treatment, and the Sage Signature Glow Nano combines microdermabrasion or a Plump Peel with serum nano infusion and red light therapy. The 'Botox' Facial uses a masque the studio calls faux Botox, along with red LED and a hydrojelly or collagen mask. An 80 Minute Experience is customized to what the skin needs that day.

Peels include the Acne Power Peel, which runs 50 minutes with LED and a cooling masque and is not offered to first-time clients, and the RDS Glow Peel, which the studio describes as safe for all skin types and tones. Clients using retinol or AHA/BHA products are asked to stop them 5 to 7 days before the Acne Power Peel. Facial add-ons include dermaplaning, light therapy dome, collagen and growth factor masks, and neck and under-eye treatments.

New clients can book a 30-minute in-person skin consultation for $50, which is credited toward a product purchase of $175 or more and is non-refundable without one. Clients who book a first treatment after a consultation receive $15 off on the day. Bridal clients can book a $75 bridal consultation covering skin analysis, a routine review and a treatment plan, and the studio suggests starting skin prep 6 months before the wedding if there are no skin issues, or a year ahead if there are.

Teens 17 and under may book a facial or a 30-minute extraction session, but a parent must stay for the appointment. Bookings are made through a Vagaro profile, appointments require a card on file, and 48 hours notice is needed to cancel or move a visit.

Learns about each client's skin needs before recommending a treatment, and favors restorative treatments and may suggest products for home use.
