Sage + Leaves was established in 2014 and operates as a small, private studio in Roseville. The studio describes itself as a hidden retreat for holistic wellness of hair, scalp and spirit, and its work is rooted in intuition, with the aim of supporting the version of each client that feels most like themselves.

Hair services include custom cuts, shaped around each client, and custom color designed to be lower maintenance. Custom color begins with a relaxing wash that includes an aromatherapy scalp massage, then cleansing, conditioning and an air-dry or blow-dry style. New guests booking custom color complete a digital consultation before the appointment is fully secured.

Wellness services run side by side with the hair menu. The Rooted Scalp Facial is a crown treatment tailored to each client, combining scalp scoping with infused energy work. First-time scalp facial clients book the full experience and skip a separate consultation. Wellness Energy Healing happens at the shampoo bowl and is an intuitive, chakra-based practice that may bring in crystals, sound, scalp or crown oil, or smudging. The Signature Reiki Wash pairs energy healing with sound in a calming wash, and a 30-minute version is also offered. The Personal Retreat is a session guided by intuition that can bring together scalp care, energy work, a cutting ceremony, sound-based therapy, tea blended to the client's taste, and meditation. After booking, clients receive a consultation form where they can ask for the elements they want.

Digital offerings extend the work beyond the chair. Remote Digital Energy Readings are priced from $22 to $66, and Monthly Group Healing is priced from $11 to $22. Consultations are available digitally at no charge, or in person with a small deposit that goes toward the session. E-gift cards for services are also available.

Good to know before booking: services are by appointment only, and guests may not bring others to appointments. Clients arriving more than 15 minutes late need to reschedule, and a booking deposit is required after more than two late arrivals. Cancellations or changes made with 48 hours notice avoid a fee of 25% of the services booked, while 24 hours notice incurs 50%. No-shows and same-day cancellations are charged the full amount. Wellness Energy Healing is not a substitute for medical care, and services will not go ahead if a condition needs medical attention. Hours are Monday 12 to 4, Tuesday to Thursday 10:30 to 6:30, and Friday 10:30 to 6; Saturday appointments are arranged by waitlist text only. Payment is accepted by major credit and debit cards and cash, with cash preferred and no change kept on hand.
