Butt implant surgery is an outpatient procedure under general anesthesia that usually takes about one to one and a half hours, and a board-certified anesthesiologist monitors the patient throughout. Stanton Anatomic implants are placed through a crease incision and positioned within the buttock muscles. Patients need a driver after surgery and are asked to stop smoking at least four to six weeks beforehand and during recovery. Per the site, patients who follow the prescribed recovery plan may fly home as early as five days after surgery. Cosmetic butt implant surgery is generally not covered by medical insurance, so cost and financing are discussed at consultation, and financing may be available depending on the procedure.
