Skin care also covers chemical peels, which take off the outer skin layers to target age spots, superficial scars, acne and dull skin, and microdermabrasion, a non-surgical exfoliating treatment. Procedures include removing DPNs and seborrheic keratoses by electrodesiccation or cryotherapy, mole removal by excision with sutured closure or shave excision, and repair of split or torn earlobes, a surgical procedure closed with sutures. Earlobes can usually be re-pierced after several months of healing, and earlobe repairs come with a complimentary ear piercing. Ear piercing is also available on its own. The practice is accepting new patients. Hours are 8am to 5pm Monday through Thursday, with a lunch break from 12pm to 1pm, and 8am to 1pm on Fridays. Many insurance plans are accepted, including Anthem BCBS, Aetna, Cigna, Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Sentara and Medicare Advantage plans. Medicaid plans, Humana Gold Plus HMO, Tricare as primary coverage and Veterans Affairs are not accepted, but self-pay patients are welcome. Patients should bring photo ID, an insurance card and a payment method, and arrive 15 minutes early for initial paperwork. Any amount the insurance plan does not cover is due at the time of service.
