Royal Complexion Parlor

Royal Complexion Parlor takes bookings through its own online scheduling page. To book, a client picks a service type, a date and a time, and any add-on services, then gives a name, phone number and email address. A confirmation email follows once the booking is made.

The menu covers a range of work: facial and brow waxing, body and intimate waxing for women and men, facials and peels, brow lamination, and lash lifts and tints. There is also a combination package category, labeled Combo Queens & Kings, for clients who want several services together. Body care with shea, body butter and body oil is offered as well.

Payment and deposits are set by price. Appointments for services priced at $40 and up need a 50% deposit, which is non-refundable. Services at $40 or less are paid in full when booked, also non-refundable. Remaining balances are due before the service starts. Cash and Zelle are the accepted payment methods.

Timing matters here. Clients have a 6-minute grace period for late arrival; after that the appointment is canceled, the deposit is kept, and a $30 late fee applies. Changes need at least 24 hours' notice, and cancellations, reschedules or no-shows with less notice forfeit the deposit and carry a $30 fee. Same-day, last-minute and squeeze-in appointments are final, and payments cannot be moved to future bookings if they are canceled or missed.

Waxing has its own requirements. Hair needs to be at least a quarter inch long, and clients who have shaved recently must wait at least 14 days before booking a wax. If hair is too short when the appointment begins, the service is turned away and the payment is not refunded. All appointment communication goes through phone or text at 510-274-1455, since social media messages are not used for booking, rescheduling or canceling. Outstanding fees must be cleared before new appointments can be booked.

Gift certificates are sold, and packages, passes and memberships are available. Clients can check their gift certificate or package balances on the website.
