About

The studio is run by its owner, who opened it after years of doing hair for other clients. The salon describes itself as stylist-owned and works one-on-one with each guest by appointment only.

Services cover cuts, color, smoothing, and scalp care. At a first appointment, the stylist goes over the guest's hair and goals, and optional scalp checks come with treatment recommendations. New guests are asked to complete a questionnaire before their first visit.

The owner created the Root Touch-Up Kits in 2020. Each kit is custom-mixed from the guest's salon color history and includes developer, an application brush, a mixing bowl, gloves, instructions, and barrier cream. A kit covers two to four applications depending on hair density and regrowth, and is available to existing guests only. Porch pickup is free.

Products are chosen with clean formulas, scalp and hair health, and sustainability in mind. The salon uses Davines and Innersense lines and recommends other earth-friendly products. It is a certified Green Circle Salon and works on recycling and waste reduction.

The studio sits inside a converted house shared with other small businesses, and a cafe is downstairs. Street parking is available. A client review credits the salon's holistic approach and educated stylists with setting it apart from most Houston-area salons.

Booking requires a valid card, and cancellations need 24 hours notice. Late cancellations and no-shows are charged 50 percent of the scheduled service. Service fees are non-refundable, and guests who are unhappy with a service should contact the salon within 7 days to arrange an adjustment. Opened products and root touch-up kits cannot be returned.

Focuses on clean products, scalp and hair health, sustainability, and one-on-one appointments.
