Roots Hair Studio has been established since 2010 as a group of independent stylists. Maggie and Shayla worked together for ten years before they started the studio together.
Each stylist keeps their own scheduling system, so clients book directly with the stylist they want. Maggie takes bookings through a link on the studio website, while Cindy and Hannah take bookings by call or text.
Services cover color, from root touch-ups and full color to full color on long hair, plus foil, teasylight and balayage highlights, haircuts and blow-dries for short or long hair, deep conditioning and scalp clarifying, extensions including move-ups, and smoothing treatments. Color and highlight services do not include a blow-dry. Smoothing pricing depends on hair length and thickness, and the treatments use Cezanne and Malina products.
The studio has booth rental with a station for established stylists, along with a free washer and dryer and a breakroom with personal storage. It also sells hair care products that can be shipped to clients.
The studio is built around a collective of independent stylists, each running their own book, with a stated commitment to high standards in every service.
