Rooted & Tied

Rooted & Tied was started by Heather as a one-on-one salon with a calm, unhurried feel. Appointments are held in a private room within Sola Salons at The Shops of West End, where free parking is available on site and nine restaurants and shops are within walking distance.

Appointments are kept one-on-one so the client has Heather's full attention. Drinks and snacks are provided, clients can bring their own food or order delivery, and laptops and headphones are welcome during appointments. New clients complete the Dream Hair Starts Here intake form before booking, sending current photos of the front, side and back of their hair along with an inspiration photo. Before and after photos are taken at most appointments, and clients are asked to arrive with clean hair.

Cancellations need 72 hours notice. Cancellations or changes made with less than 48 hours notice are charged 50% of the reserved appointment, and changing services, removing extensions, reducing rows or skipping color also need 48 hours notice. No-shows are charged the full service amount. The salon is not responsible for color stains or damage to clothing or valuables, so hoods and valuables are discouraged.

Aftercare advice includes washing with a sulfate-free shampoo and always double washing, avoiding sleep with wet hair, and using a silk pillowcase. Extensions are not washed unless they are being colored. Sunscreen containing the active ingredient avobenzone can turn extensions orange or pink, and that change cannot be reversed.
