The studio values craft over volume and long-term hair and scalp health over quick fixes. It favors honest recommendations over trends, quality products, sustainability, and people over profits.

Appointments are unrushed, and the studio is kept small rather than high-volume. Large custom color projects may need a consultation before they are scheduled, and extension quotes are given after an in-person consultation. New clients book their chosen service online and complete a form; the team contacts them within one to two business days if they have questions or if a different appointment may suit them better. Hours are Tuesday 9:00am to 6:00pm and Wednesday through Friday 9:00am to 4:00pm, with Saturdays and evenings by appointment only.

The collective plans to expand into rest and restoration services beyond hair. Massage with Abbey Lair is the current wellness offering.
