Appointments are booked online. Texting is the preferred way to reach the studio, since the owner may be with a client when the phone rings; the studio's number is (248) 709-2295. Friends are not allowed in the treatment room, though a waiting area is available for guests. Exceptions are made for a translator or caregiver when one is needed. Minimum ages are 13 for facial waxing, 16 for most body waxing, and 18 for bikini waxing.

Before a visit, clients are asked to exfoliate a day or two ahead, avoid tight clothing over the area, stay hydrated, skip alcohol, and leave hair unshaved for three to four weeks, with at least a quarter inch of growth. Clients should not trim hair beforehand; the stylist may trim a little during the visit. If hair is too short, the stylist may do a test strip and either go ahead or suggest rebooking a few weeks later. Most clients return every four to six weeks, and each one receives an aftercare card with product suggestions based on skin type and concerns. Afterward, clients should avoid working out, swimming, direct sun, and sweating or friction for at least 24 to 48 hours, and gentle exfoliation can resume after three days, two to three times a week.

Scheduling policies: arriving six minutes late may mean the appointment is rescheduled, and arriving ten minutes late carries a charge of 30 percent of the service cost. A no-show is charged 50 percent of the service cost. Cancellations or reschedules are asked for at least 24 hours ahead, and habitual last-minute rescheduling leads to a required non-refundable deposit for future bookings.

A referral program gives the referring client a $10 discount on their next appointment when a referred friend mentions them on the intake form or at the visit. Most clients find waxing less painful than they expected, and the first session is usually the most uncomfortable one.

Stella aims to keep each visit as comfortable as possible through technique and small tricks, and she takes time to make sure clients feel comfortable and safe.
