About

The practice sits on South Beverly Drive and is run by a team of licensed acupuncturists along with a massage therapist. The clinic describes its team as healthcare practitioners who care about the health and wellness of their community. It also sells its own herbal formulas alongside treatment.

Visits are scheduled by length: first visits run 75 to 90 minutes and follow-ups 50 to 75 minutes. Clients are asked to arrive 10 to 15 minutes early and to avoid brushing their tongue on the day of the appointment. Because treatment involves the legs above the knee and the arms above the elbow, clients should wear or bring shorts; the clinic keeps shorts on hand for anyone who needs them.

Care can combine several modalities into a custom plan. Cupping uses suction cups and can leave temporary marks or bruising. Moxibustion warms the needles with mugwort herb in stick form, and E-Stimulation attaches a TENS unit to the needles. Facial acupuncture is a non-surgical cosmetic treatment at $175; a typical plan involves ten sessions followed by recommended maintenance visits, and each session includes a Celluma LED light therapy session and facial gua sha.

The clinic's herbal formulas are modern versions of classic Chinese herbal formulas, sold as capsules, pills or a powder mixed into hot water, with capsule, spray and subscription options for some lines. The clinic states that it uses herbs from Qualiherb, a manufacturer in Taiwan, which it describes as Tier One, the highest grade of herbal medicine. It also says its formulas have been found effective with few to no side effects, and that its traditional Chinese medicine practice has a high success rate.

Visits can be arranged at a patient's home, hotel or office in Beverly Hills, Culver City, Santa Monica, Century City and Hollywood. PPO plans are accepted. Before a new patient's first appointment, the team asks for the insurance company, policy number and date of birth so coverage can be verified. Los Angeles residents with corporate health insurance through Cigna, Aetna, UHC or BC may be eligible for a free first visit. Metered street parking on South Beverly allows only one to two hours; valet parking is $6.50 at the Marriott Residence Inn next door.

Treatment is described as a gradual healing process built around each person, with the number of sessions depending on the individual and the concern. Plans can combine several modalities.
