Rising Tides Apothecary was founded in 2022 by Katie, who runs it as a woman-owned business and is its sole proprietor. The shop brings beauty and wellness together, treating inner and outer care as parts of one routine, and it places weight on community, personal connection and a holistic outlook.

The detox offerings are the core of the business. Rise & Revive is a set of three guided 7-day detox programs to be used over one year, priced at $595 against a listed individual value of $699. It includes seven days of prep support before each detox, daily accountability and support during each program, three follow-up assessments, a detox enhancement worksheet, a post-detox protocol and a shaker bottle system. The separate Equilife 7-Day Detox is a food-and-supplement program with a menu guide: shakes are taken on the first two days at set times through the day, and meals return from day three. The shop also offers a free 30-minute one-on-one session to prepare clients before a detox. According to the shop, most people can expect to lose 6 to 10 pounds on the detox, partly water weight, and some regain it.

LED light therapy is offered in 30-minute sessions that can be booked online. The shop recommends sessions two to three times a week for four to six weeks, then seasonal sessions to maintain results, and says the treatments can help skin texture and tone, fine lines, and acne and acne scars. An at-home LED wand that combines light therapy with microcurrent is also sold.

The online shop lists 48 products across skin, makeup, body, supplements and well-being, from brands including Meadow & Bark, Ursa Major, Tidal Elixers, GRAES, Daybreak Skincare and Four Sigmatic. The shop says it aims to work with B Corp certified brands, screens brands against the EWG Skin Deep Database for harmful ingredients, and has its advisors test each brand partner's products for at least seven days across a range of body types, skin types, ages and concerns. It does not partner with brands that test on animals, checks brands against PETA and Leaping Bunny listings, does not consider brands that sell in China, and requires products to meet a restricted ingredients list. The shop also lists local businesses it calls Friends of Rising Tides, including a yoga studio, a massage boutique and a salon.
