Facials are grouped as skin rituals, and every facial begins with a double cleanse and a massage of the neck, shoulders and chest. The three facials differ in length, focus and tools. I Am Balanced is a 75-minute facial for acne-prone skin ($200) that uses oxygen infusion, gentle exfoliation and blue and red light, without aggressive extractions. I Am Restored is a 90-minute facial ($240) that works on facial and neck muscles, with intra-oral massage for jaw tension. I Am Trusting is a two-hour customized facial ($320) that draws on the full range of tools and techniques in Kim Tran's practice, including sculptural massage for the face, neck and chest.
Before a facial, clients are asked to avoid direct sun and tanning, stop actives such as glycolic, retinol and lactic acid two to three days ahead, and avoid hair removal for 48 hours. Afterward, the studio asks clients to stay out of direct sunlight and skip the gym for 48 hours, avoid at-home exfoliation for at least seven days, and avoid hair removal for seven days. Rind Skin recommends its Glymed Cell Balm and an Allantoin moisturizer after a facial, and Face Reality's Spot Treatment for breakouts.
The session looks at skin type, triggers and tolerance, and results in a personalized plan covering hormones, diet, products and lifestyle.
The business also trains estheticians one-on-one, in small groups, at live events and online. Options include a 5-hour Small Group Class in San Diego for up to six people ($650) with a certificate of completion, a 4-hour one-on-one Facial Flow training in anti-gravity techniques inspired by Kobido ($1,100) with a follow-up call and ongoing support, a 4-hour Facial Manipulation training on facial muscle tension and circulation ($1,100), and a self-paced online Skin Rolling mini course ($79). Rind Skin also hosts an immersive annual retreat for licensed estheticians with Kim Tran. Training and digital product sales are final, and refunds are not offered for change of mind, scheduling conflicts or dissatisfaction with results.
The business says its treatments pair anatomy-rooted facial massage and skincare from chosen brand partners with slow, intentional care.
