Ricochet's Electrology

Ricochet's Electrology is a single-location electrolysis business in Milwaukee, offering permanent hair removal to clients of all genders. Appointments are by schedule only and can be requested through the website waitlist page, by phone or by text, with calls, voicemail and texts going to 414-312-3410.

The practice treats areas including the brows, upper and lower lip, chin, cheeks, jawline, neck, chest, stomach, underarms, arms, legs, feet, toes, back and outer ear. It does not work inside the ear or inside the nose, though it does treat around the brim of the nose. The business also offers hair removal ahead of gender-affirming genital surgery, including phalloplasty and vaginoplasty.

A visit usually starts with a free consultation, which includes a free 15-minute appointment. Sessions are booked in 15, 30, 45 or 60 minute lengths. The 60-minute session is the first that gives access to continuation time, which runs 58 to 59 minutes per unit and is generally 59 minutes. The 45-minute session does not provide continuation access. The skin is disinfected before and after each treatment, and clients are asked to keep treated areas clean for at least 24 hours afterward.

Clients who are gender-diverse receive a discounted rate, and larger discounts are available to those with financial need. Groupon coupons are accepted. Tips paid by Zelle, check, card or Venmo count as part of the service payment. The studio hours run Tuesday to Sunday, roughly 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., with occasional days off. Parking is public, including a garage at 333 on Water and street parking nearby. The studio reserves the right to decline work it considers unsafe or uncomfortable.

Each session begins and ends with disinfecting the skin, and the business says a treated area usually takes one to two years to become permanently hairless, with sessions getting shorter over time.
