The studio traces back to Ricki Criswell, who began hosting private glycolic acid skincare parties for friends while she was studying to become an esthetician. The first salon she opened has grown into the current brand, and the studio has been caring for skin in Studio City since 1989.

Every skincare service starts with a consultation about current concerns and skincare goals, and facials are performed by licensed estheticians. Waxing uses French hard wax, sugaring or soft wax, chosen by the service and the client's skin sensitivity, under a no double-dipping rule. Clients who have recently had a chemical or laser peel, or who use certain retinoids, should say so before booking facial waxing, since it is not recommended for them. Waxing packages are available, and a free consultation can be scheduled by phone.

Eyelash extension visits open with a consultation on eye shape, natural lash quality and skin tone before lengths, curls and widths are selected. Lash application avoids crisscross placement, and the studio says its stylists aim for exact symmetry; the adhesive is described as medical grade and FDA approved. Lash lifts use Ellebana products, which are formaldehyde free, and a lift with tint takes about 45 minutes. Brow lamination is a semipermanent, noninvasive treatment that adjusts the direction of brow hair, and it is kept on a separate day from microblading, ideally a few days before or 6 to 8 weeks after.

The studio sells its own Signature Skincare Collection, developed for dry skin, anti-aging and acne defense, and the same products are used during treatments. The line includes a daily polishing cleanser, a light formula for normal to combination skin, a richer option for dry skin, a hydrating product, a toning mist, a facial oil, a vitamin C serum, a retinol product and an eye balm.

Clients are taught the proper ways to care for their skin, starting from a consultation on their concerns and goals.
