Revive opened in 2016 and works by appointment at 15 Fairfax Road in Rochester. Gina Marie owns the studio and works as its artist, drawing on more than ten years in the beauty industry. She says she was one of the first microbladers in Rochester.
The menu centers on brows. Microblading is semi-permanent cosmetic tattooing done by hand with a disposable blade, while powder brows are built with a tattoo machine and disposable cartridge, layering tiny pixels of color. A complimentary 6-week touch-up follows the first appointment. Permanent eyeliner and lip blushing are also offered.
Before every procedure a topical numbing cream is applied, with a second numbing gel used during the work. Brow shape is planned around each client's bone structure and natural brow hair, and the shape is previewed before microblading begins. Aftercare lasts ten days and covers limiting sun, exercise and showers, and clients should avoid sun and tanning beds for 30 days before and after.
A deposit holds each appointment and is forfeited for cancellations within 72 hours. Cancellations 24 to 48 hours ahead may be charged half the service, and day-of cancellations, no-shows or late arrivals may be charged the full fee. Pricing for first appointments and touch-ups depends on the chosen artist, and work done by other artists may carry correctional pricing. Clients can call, text or email, and payment is accepted by cash or credit card.
Brow design starts from each client's bone structure and natural brow hair, with a preview before microblading, and the aim is results that look natural and suited to the individual.
