ReTreat Hair Suite

ReTreat Hair Suite works out of Suite #3 at Salons by JC in Ballwin. The suite describes itself as providing high-quality color, haircuts and styling for every hair texture, and it stocks products meant for straight, curly, coily, fine and coarse hair.

The color menu covers full color, partial and full highlights, balayage (a hand-painted application that is usually lighter on the ends), touch-ups for regrowth, and toner to offset unwanted tones after highlighting. The cutting menu includes a standard haircut, a barber-style cut that includes facial hair, and a bang trim. Styling options include a round-brush blowdry, a special occasion style, roller sets, flat ironing, crochet installs and twists.

Treatments and chemical services are a large part of the menu. An express hydration and strengthening treatment can be added at the shampoo bowl to existing services, while a full-service version uses a hooded dryer for dry, damaged or over-processed hair. Keratin is offered as a short-term express smoothing treatment that lessens frizz and shortens blowdry time, or as a full treatment that smooths frizz and adds shine for up to about three months. Relaxers permanently straighten hair, and mold and dry are included. An extra charge applies when a roller set or iron curl is added to a relaxer.

The suite is open Tuesday from 11 am to 8 pm, Wednesday and Thursday from 11 am to 7 pm, Friday from 8 am to 4 pm and Saturday from 8 am to 2 pm, and it is closed Sundays and Mondays. Gift cards are available.
