Every appointment begins with a personalized consultation, and new guests can request a complimentary one, after which a price estimate is shared. Visits include a reclining shiatsu massage shampoo chair with a scalp and neck massage, weighted blankets and lavender eye pillows during the shampoo, and heated neck wraps scented with lavender or eucalyptus. Beverages and snacks are offered, along with adult coloring books and hand-painted smooth rocks, and a tech-friendly lounge provides a quiet place to work during an appointment.

Listed prices cover artist labor and start at different amounts for each artist tier: Initiate, Signature, Artisan and Founder. Color and chemical services carry a separate Professional Materials Investment that varies with hair length, hair density, previous color history, product use and service complexity. An estimated total is provided before service whenever possible. Corrective color, platinum transformations and custom brunette changes require a consultation before booking.

Clients secure a booking with a card on file or a deposit, and that amount is credited toward the service total on the day of the visit. Cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance, and a late cancellation can incur a charge of up to 50 percent of the reserved service. If a client turns up more than a quarter hour after the appointment time, the team may modify the service or move the booking to another slot. Redo requests must be submitted within seven days of the visit. Booking inquiries typically receive a response within one to two days. When space allows, the salon asks that only clients who are receiving a service come into the salon area.

The salon says it has more than 20 years of excellence and that Virginia Living Magazine ranked it third among the Best Salons in Northern Virginia. It is open Thursday and Friday from 11am to 8pm and Saturday from 10am to 6pm, and closed Sunday through Wednesday.
