Reflect Salon Maple Grove

Reflect Salon traces its start to 1979, when Diane Keller opened New Reflections Salon in Maple Grove, a four-chair room of about 1,200 square feet at the Bass Lake Shopping Center. The business moved to Plymouth in 1999 and became an Aveda Lifestyle Salon. A second location opened at Ridgedale Center in 2003, and a new Maple Grove location followed in 2007 at the Fountains of Arbor Lakes, later remodeled. The business took the Reflect name in 2019. Jacqueline Scholl bought it in 2021 and serves as its president and owner, and more than 70 people work across its locations.

Hair services are available at either the Plymouth or Maple Grove salon, and skin and facial services are offered at Plymouth only. Plymouth is open Monday through Thursday 7am to 9pm, Friday 7am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm. Maple Grove is open Monday through Thursday 9am to 8pm, Friday 9am to 6pm and Saturday 8am to 5pm. The Minnetonka location is closed Mondays, open Tuesday through Thursday 11am to 8pm, Friday 11am to 7pm and Saturday 9am to 5pm. The salon is closed on Sundays.

The salon's hair menu spans cuts paired with blowout and styling, shampoo and style, and custom color that can cover all-over shades, gray, or damage, plus highlights, balayage, ombre and color melt. Extensions come in fusion, tape-in, hand-tied and Revive styles, all made from 100% human hair. Brazilian Blowout and other relaxing, perming, smoothing and deep conditioning services are also available. For thinning and hair loss, the Alternative Hair Solutions program includes HydraScalp treatments sold as a series of three. Special event styling and bridal hair are done by a certified artist, and the salon suggests a trial run four to six weeks ahead of a wedding or event.

Skin services at Plymouth include customized facials, dermaplaning facials, the Signature, Deluxe and Platinum HydraFacial, and a range of add-ons such as LED light therapy, eye and lip perks and an Aveda Perfecting Plant Peel. Brow and lash services include Elleebana lash lifts, brow or lash tinting and henna brow tinting. Waxing covers ears, hairline, nose, chin, lip, brow and full face. A complimentary dermaplaning add-on is included with a HydraFacial booking.

Booking is done online for selected stylists and services, and everything else by calling the salon, where a call center representative answers. Confirmation emails and texts go out two business days ahead. Changes and cancellations need at least 24 hours notice, and late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the booked amount. A credit card deposit is requested for bookings of three or more services or for groups of three or more. Guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes early, and spa guests are asked to do the same. Children are welcome on the salon floor only with a booked appointment, and gratuity is optional. Clients should mention any ailments, allergies or pregnancy when booking, and wait at least two weeks after fillers, injectables or laser treatments before a HydraFacial. Gift cards can be bought online, by phone or in person and do not expire.

The salon sells Aveda and Kérastase products for service and retail. Aveda returns are accepted within 30 days with the original receipt, excluding certain items, while Kérastase products cannot be returned.

The salon says it is a Green Circle Salon and that all locations recycle salon waste. It invests in continuing education with Aveda Global Education and hosts visiting educators from Red Chocolate and Vidal Sassoon. Advanced artist training uses model clients, who receive a luxury shampoo and blow-dry at a reduced rate from a licensed artist in training, with a signed release and possible photos for training and portfolios. The salon also partners with the non-profit Hello Gorgeous! to offer complimentary makeovers and cosmetic education to women battling cancer.

Its mission centers on supporting clients' well-being through education, community involvement and team growth.
