Refinery4 is a boutique facial studio in New York City. The name reflects a layer-by-layer approach to skin health, and the studio's work centers on technique-driven skincare rather than a broad menu of services.

To get there, clients enter through WSA's main entrance, take the escalator to the second level, check in with security, and take the elevator to the 12th or 14th floor. Clients can use select WSA amenities, including locker rooms, a sauna and relaxation areas, before or after their treatment, so arriving early is recommended for anyone who wants that time. The site describes WSA as a discreet, design-led wellness collective.

Treatments are customized to each client's skin and paced without rushed protocols or harsh handling. The Signature Method is a 90-minute facial built from modalities chosen after a professional consultation, and it may include precision extractions, dermaplaning, microdermabrasion, Neurotris 4-channel microcurrent, oxygen infusion and polarized LED light therapy. Clients unsure which treatment to book are advised to choose the 90-minute custom option so the provider can assess the skin during the appointment.

The studio carries the Green Peel line, a German herbal peeling treatment created by dermatologist Dr. med. Christine Schrammek. According to the site, it is an acid-free option compared with conventional chemical peels. Level I is a 60-minute non-peeling session suited to every skin type and tone, and it can't be paired with other treatments or readily swapped out. Level II is a 90-minute peel of moderate strength, followed by a tailored at-home routine. Level III runs in two phases, combining an in-spa application, home care and a recovery period. Skin must remain fully dry for five days. A 30-minute follow-up on day five is booked separately and included in the price. Clients must complete Level I and Level II before booking Level III. Green Peel isn't appropriate during pregnancy, and eligibility is limited for people with recent injectables, retinoids, sunburn, open wounds, active cold sores, inflammation, or isotretinoin use.

Booking is online, and a credit card is required to reserve but is not charged until the appointment. An intake form is emailed after booking and should be completed before arrival; new clients may also download and bring it. Walk-ins are not accepted. Preferred slots are typically booked about two weeks ahead, with occasional same-week openings. Hours are Sunday to Thursday, 11:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and later appointments can be requested subject to availability. Cancellations or rescheduling need at least 24 hours' notice, and late cancellations or no-shows may be charged the full fee. Late arrivals may receive a shorter session, and the full fee still applies. Major credit cards, Apple Pay and exact-amount cash are accepted. Gratuity is welcome but never required, and gratuities are donated to The Ricardo Fisas Foundation.

Products used in treatments can be bought in the studio, and gift cards are available as e-gift cards delivered instantly or as physical cards in studio. Gift cards can be applied to any product or service.
