Refinery was founded by nurse practitioner Nicole Stapp to bring aesthetics and wellness care to Oxford. The clinic describes its work as combining advanced aesthetic treatments with whole-body wellness, so a visit can address a single cosmetic goal or be part of a broader plan.

The aesthetic menu covers neurotoxins (Botox, Daxxify and Dysport) for lines such as forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet, and the clinic notes these can also be used for a subtle brow lift, jawline slimming or excessive underarm sweating. Dermal fillers are used to restore volume, smooth lines and enhance features, including lips, cheeks, the jawline and chin, nasolabial folds, marionette lines and under-eye hollows. Product options include several Juvederm and Restylane fillers, and most fillers contain lidocaine, with a topical numbing cream available as well. Other offerings include PDO thread lifts, biostimulators including Sculptra, chemical peels, microdermabrasion and microchanneling.

Microneedling uses fine medical-grade needles to make tiny channels in the skin, which the clinic says stimulates collagen and elastin. It is used for acne scars, fine lines, pore size, uneven tone and dull skin. The clinic reports that most people notice improvement after three to four sessions about a month apart, with a numbing cream applied beforehand and redness typically lasting 24 to 48 hours afterward. Peels and microneedling can be sold as series packages, and a membership option is available.

Wellness services include hormone therapy: bioidentical hormone replacement for perimenopause and menopause symptoms for women, and BHRT or testosterone replacement for men with low testosterone symptoms. Women's options are injectable pellets or topical creams with adjustable dosing. Men can choose pellets or at-home testosterone injections given weekly or every other week. The medical weight loss program begins with a consult, baseline labs and a customized plan, and can include monthly prescription support when appropriate, habit frameworks and provider check-ins. A body composition analysis using an InBody 570 tracks muscle mass, body fat and body water, with results viewable in the InBody app.

IV therapy includes Immunity Defense, Hangover / Hydration Recovery, Lean Lux and Skin Radiance IVs at $150 each, and two NAD+ options: 250 mg for $250 as a two-hour session and 500 mg for $500 as a four-hour session. Every IV includes a full 1,000 mL bag of normal saline and standard sessions take about an hour. Zofran or Toradol can be added to the Hangover / Hydration Recovery IV on request. IVs are mixed and given by trained providers.

Visitors enter through the back of the building from the parking lot off East Street or East Burdick Street. Hours are Tuesday, Thursday and Friday 9am to 5pm and Wednesday 10am to 6pm. The clinic serves clients from Lake Orion, Lapeer and nearby communities. New clients begin with a consultation to review goals and history before a plan is built, and consultations are in person, with select virtual consultations for wellness services. Pricing varies by service, area and product, and clients receive a personalized quote at consultation. Aesthetic services are self-pay, major cards are accepted, HSA or FSA can be used for eligible wellness expenses, and flexible financing is available. Clients are asked to arrive with clean skin and no makeup for face treatments, to avoid alcohol for 24 hours before a visit unless a provider advises otherwise, and to give advance notice for changes, as late changes or missed visits may carry a fee. Written aftercare instructions are provided. The clinic also sells skincare, including Epionce, and supplements, and offers gift cards.

Treatment plans are customized to each client's skin, anatomy and health history, and the clinic combines medical protocols with an artistic eye. Treatments may be paired or sequenced, such as neurotoxins with fillers, or peels and microneedling over time, and the providers are described as dosing conservatively.
