Red Feather Salon puts the guest experience at the center of each visit, and healthy hair comes before anything else. The salon says it will not give up hair integrity to reach a particular result.

Every appointment starts with a consultation. The Cut & Consult visit is offered as a first appointment for new guests and runs about an hour, covering hair history, the guest's current care routine, lifestyle and hair goals. Services usually finish with a blowout so the color and the way the hair falls can be judged once it is dry.

The salon uses high-quality hair products and recommends them based on each guest's style goals, lifestyle and hair, with guidance on how to use them.

Booking terms are set out clearly. A credit card on file, stored through Square, is needed to finalize an appointment and is charged only if the cancellation policy is broken. Cancellations need at least 48 hours' notice; less notice is charged at 50% of the scheduled services, and same-day cancellations and no-shows are charged the full amount. Deposits may be required at booking and are non-refundable. Reminder texts or emails arrive three days and one day ahead, and guests are asked to arrive 15 minutes early. Children and pets may not join guests during services, except service animals. Guests who are not fully satisfied can contact the salon within three days for a follow-up consultation.
