RDW HAIR & Co. is owned by master stylist Rochelle Walters and is her third salon, following two earlier ones. She has more than three decades in hair, including fashion week work in New York and Brooklyn and projects for television, magazines and sports.

Visits usually begin with a consultation, where a first-time client's hair type, texture, condition and goals are assessed before a plan is built around them. A Discovery Session, which covers goals, preferences and concerns, is recommended before any hair service. Separate consultations cover the Triple C Strategy for cut and color options, the Hair Journey Restart for hair loss, and Alopecia Care for severe hair loss, which can include treatments, protective styles, cuts or wigs.

Color ranges from semi and demi tones through highlights, low lights, ombre, Double Process and balayage. Scalp massage and a tea tree and aloe steam bath can be added to any wash.

Cancellations need at least 24 hours notice or a 40% fee is charged to the card on file. Clients have a 15-minute grace period after their arrival time, and later arrivals may incur a $25 late fee. In an emergency, clients can reach the owner directly by phone or text about a cancellation. Buy Now, Pay Later is available in person for bookings from $50 to $4,000, subject to approval before the appointment. Gift cards and an online shop are also offered.

Hours are Tuesday and Wednesday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, Thursday from 10:30 AM to 8 PM, Friday from 10:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and Saturday from 10:30 AM to 5:30 PM. The salon is closed on Sundays and Mondays.

Each visit starts with a consultation so the service plan fits the client's hair type, condition and goals.
