Two family-run companies, RAYA Spa and RAYA LAB, trace their beginnings to 1982, when Raya Taver, an aesthetician trained in Europe, and her spouse Norman, previously an engineer and scientist at NASA, set them up. The spa is just south of Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood and has a team of 20 estheticians and massage therapists. It keeps hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, and is closed on Sundays.

The spa is just south of Melrose Avenue in West Hollywood and has a team of 20 estheticians and massage therapists. It keeps hours Monday through Friday from 9 am to 7 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 6 pm, and is closed on Sundays.

The menu is organized into facials, add-on treatments that can be layered onto a facial, massage and waxing.

Products are formulated and produced at RAYA LAB in a 100,000 square foot cosmetic factory in Los Angeles. The production facility is FDA-registered, and the same products are used daily in the spa. The skin care line is sorted by skin type and includes cleansers, toners, scrubs, moisturizers, serums, masks, spot treatments and body products, and the lab also supplies salons and spas across the USA and internationally under private-label partnerships. Products are cruelty free and not tested on animals, and carry a shelf life of about two years from purchase.

Online orders ship within the United States only, with most shipping in 3 to 5 business days and expedited options for an extra fee. Shipping is free on orders over $35. Exchanges and returns with a full refund are accepted within 14 days of delivery with prior approval from customer service. Samples are included with some orders when available but cannot be requested separately. Licensed estheticians and medical doctors can open a separate professional account for professional-grade skin care.

Products are formulated in-house at RAYA LAB and the same line is used daily in the spa.
